ESTATE AWARDS
MICHELIN KEYS
For over a century, the MICHELIN Guide has set the global standard for excellence, honouring the world’s most exceptional culinary destinations. This legacy extends to the realm of hospitality through the MICHELIN Key – a distinction reserved for hotels offering the most remarkable and immersive stays. Delaire Graff Estate was awarded two MICHELIN Keys, acknowledging an experience of distinction.
CONDÉ NAST JOHANSENS
Created by one of the world’s most respected luxury travel authorities, the Condé Nast Johansens Awards for Excellence celebrate the finest independent hotels, spas and venues across the globe. Each accolade reflects the votes of seasoned travel experts and guests who seek only the very best. Delaire Graff Estate was awarded “Best Dining Experience,” an honour reserved for culinary destinations that redefine elegance, innovation and hospitality.
JHP GOURMENT GUIDE
Since its inception in 2016, the JHP Gourmet Guide™ has become synonymous with consistency, credibility and global benchmarking. At the 2026 JHP Gourmet Guide Awards, our contemporary Japanese restaurant Hōseki was awarded a prestigious two plates, while the recently renovated Delaire Graff Restaurant, which is rapidly gaining recognition for its new finer-dining concept, secured one plate.
WORLD LUXURY AWARDS
An art-inspired retreat, Delaire Graff Spa was rated Best Art Spa, Best Boutique Spa and Best Hotel Spa at the World Luxury Awards, while the Luxury Lifestyle Awards Organising Committee named Delaire Graff Spa one of the Top 100 Spas in the World and the Estate as one of the Top 100 Sustainable Hotels and Resorts in the World.
WINE AWARDS
Under the guidance of winemaker Morné Vrey and viticulturist Kallie Fernhout, our wines have achieved significant recognition, including being named the Winemag Winery of the Year. At the same awards ceremony, the Delaire Graff Estate Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve 2022 was awarded Best in Category, while four more wines secured Top 10 positions.
Additional triumphs include a Sauvignon Blanc SA Top 10 Award for the Delaire Graff Coastal Cuvée Sauvignon Blanc 2025, the Delaire Graff Estate Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 being acknowledged as the best Cabernet Sauvignon at the Global Fine Wine Challenge, and the Delaire Graff Estate Banghoek Chardonnay 2024 winning an esteemed Master medal at the Drinks Business Global Chardonnay Masters.
In the Tim Atkin South Africa Special Report, all 11 of our wines submitted for tasting scored between 91 and 96 points, while five wines were recognised for their outstanding quality at the Veritas Wine Awards – one of South Africa’s most respected wine competitions, with the Delaire Graff Estate Coastal Cuvée Sauvignon Blanc 2025 and the Delaire Graff Botmaskop 2022 receiving Gold, and the Delaire Graff Cape Vintage 2022 a Double Gold.
At the Investec Trophy Wine Show, the Delaire Graff Estate Banghoek Chardonnay 2023 was celebrated as the Best White Wine Overall, Best Chardonnay and achieved the Vinolok Trophy for Best Premium Wine. The Delaire Graff Cape Vintage 2022 also won the Tony Mossop Trophy for Best Cape Port for the second consecutive year with an impressive 98 points.
Last, but certainly not least, at the 45th edition of Platter’s by Diners Club South Africa Wine Guide – the most comprehensive guide to South African wine – our wines were assessed alongside nearly 9,000 others by a dedicated panel of 11 experienced tasters. A score of 95+ points equals a five-star rating and is described as “Superlative. A South African Classic”, reflecting the highest level of quality.
Our Laurence Graff Reserve 2021, Delaire Graff Estate The Banghoek 2020 and Delaire Graff Estate Terraced Block Chardonnay 2024 all received five stars. This marked the third consecutive year that our Terraced Block Chardonnay achieved this distinction – a remarkable achievement. Additionally, eight of our wines earned 4.5 stars, while two wines each achieved four stars.
